What do you guys do when you get offered cash + a player in a deal, and you havent scouted him.

In real life i reckon youd send your scout over to look at him pronto and report back sharpish, but the game tkes too long.

I guess its back to "if you have to ask..." but personally i think its unfair so i bend the rules a little.

Transfers can be delayed and scouting must be done...it is very rare to receice an offer for a player with the decision deadline on that very day, especially if you are as far down the league as I am and there is no transfer window!

That's my opinion anyway.

In my opinion, you can't know whether or not the player on offer is going to be of benefit to you until he's been scouted. Managers everywhere tend not to sign players who they've never seen or heard of before.

That said, you play the game you want to play it.

I just take the player out of the exchange and up the fee!

Me too. I buy players I (or my scout) choose to buy, not some idiot who isn't wanted at another club.

Just give me the money!

I usually reject the offer, add the offered player to my shortlist and send a scout after him. Or I just re-negotiate the bid to a money-only deal.

Usually, the offered player is too crap, too old and/or on too high wages.

I've just been offered a 36 yo WBL at £12k/week for my emerging 17 yo ML (who is at a measly £190/week) in a straight exchange deal.

I think you will still hear me laughing if you try hard enough.

Stall the negotiations then send the scout around.

That said, the poofs have the right idea ... reject the offer without even looking at the player. He WILL be crap.

wts, I go for the money. the player is probably carp, but if you think you want him scout him.
