Now, as you have probably gathered, having once posted on the T&T forum doesn't automatically disqualify you from ever being a LLaMa. However, it is clear that you already knew what being LLM meant, but still looked for advice and tactics.

Honesty is always the best policy, I find.

2008/2009

As I mentioned before, a tactical overhaul was undertaken at the start of the season after my rather orrigian previous tactic proved why I have not had reason to post on the T&T forum.()

Players in: 2 - £3k (and a few greys were signed up too)

Players out: 5 - 35k

The player sold for £35k was meant to be the key player in my new look defence but the money received from his sale allow me to bring in a far better right back who my scouts had been raving about but I have been unable to afford due to the distinct lack of funds. I also brought in a superb right winger on loan from oxford although he won't sign a permanent deal (has had an offer from West Ham!).

This was to be my best season by far as far as the league was concerned although winning was never going to be a possibility with Billericay rejoining us and winning the league by 8 points, they also knocked me out of the FA trophy after a replay. However I was easily the best of the rest and so was quietly confident winning my promotion. The semis were a formality after a 3-1 away win against Farnborough and so we moved on to the final against Maidenhead at the Madjeski Stadium:

The first half ended goalless despite our domination and when we scored in the 73rd minute I felt that we had done enough (despite the fact our gaol scorer had suffered injury almost imediately after) but it was not to be as they equalised in the 88th minute. Extra time followed and when they took the lead in the 95th minute I felty we were as good as out of it but the troops rallied and we equalised in the 107 minute to force penalties. I hit play and then watched as we thew away our chances to get promoted in the first round of sudden death to lose the shoot out 5-4. Still, I feel we can challenge if we can get in a decent right winger and remain injury free, or at lest more so the this year (our best striker, who was called up to England under 19s but didn't play, missed the first 2 months and the last month, including the play offs), we will be able to challenge for the title again.

Cups: Sucked

Elsewhere: Arsenal won their 4th consecutive premiership :eek: and Liverpool retained the FA cup. Also, all four clubs relegated from the conference were orriginall from the conference south so I'm praying that Weymouth get sent to the conference North!

By the way, on a more positive note attendances are up due to our playing well and so, for teh first time ever, the club is actually running a profit and so we are gradually edging our way towards the black...transfer funds to follow me thinks.

I wouldn’t normally thank people in that way it’s all in the first post (‘any advice would be greatly appreciated’).
