I am planning to download the full patch whenever it comes out ,(hopefully next week). Fm06 and 07 were not as buggy as 08 and that is why for the first time in playing fm/cm i will play the game with the oatch. Now people may get annoyed at me asking auch a basic and stupid question but it needs answering. When you download the patch and run/save the file i understand the patch is saved somewhere, where is it saved? And is there something i need to do after downloading the patch to make it work, or is it just a case of downloading, playing and it is done? please help as i want the patch to work fully when it comes out and i download it :p
Download onto your desktop (or soemwhere else if you prefer).
Double-click the patch's icon, the patch does the rest.
After that you can delete the download if you want, but I think it's a good idea to store it somewhere in case you ever have to re-install the game and need to patch it again.
download the patch where ever you want.You will be prompted by your PC to do this anyway.If your scared of losing it then just dl it to you desktop.
After you've downloaded it,justd/click on the icon and then click install,it will automatically update to your game folder.
thanks glyn but when you click the download link,choose to save it an then it downlaods what do you do from then? do u click the patch file that you downloaded and saved onto your pc? then it works?

When the download dialogue box (ie the one that says 'save it') appears, you have the option of saying where you want the download to be saved on your PC. I suggest saving it to your Desktop so that you know where it is.
The symbol that the patch file produces - and that you will see on your Desktop - is the icon we're talking about.

erm.. yeah, should do. yeah. like they said, download to anywhere. (somewhere you can find though). then double click on that file once it's downloaded.
