| Dennis Rommedahl!!!! so much pace, but he is still crap, gronkjaer plenty of pace, still pants, zenden in his earlier days, plenty of pace, shoite!! You cant just have great pace and then expect to get goals or assists, there is so much more to a footballer than just pace. Look at Becks, never had any pace whatsoever, but he was still a quality winger. i do think pace is a bit too overrated in game.

I have pace. It was the only attribute I did have when I played non-competitive games at Uni and I was total crap!

Oh i forgot to mention some pacey strikers who are pants...Djibi Cisse, milan baros (although he did alright in euro, before someone tries to point it out) they not gonna get many goals in decent leagues (no dis-respect to Ligue 1), bellion, hahaha, shearer, not lighting quick, great bloody striker, ruud, raul,

Hmm if only this were true...I have a pacey striker..17 for my LL2 side who should "overcook" the defense each time he plays, but I find my other strikers doing a better job...they have good pace of 12 and have good composure and finishing.

Really? I'm finding the exact opposite. My top scorers are basically all my players with pace.
Anyway, bring on the 8.01 patch proper so I can have a whole load of new things to complain about.

Jumping is even better. If you have a striker with jumping 18+ and heading 15+ you can easily have him score 30+ goals. Rest of his skills can be shaite.
He'll score 15+ on corners alone if you put him on near post flick on and place corners on near post.

The relative importance of pace depends on the tactics employed, really.
The more counterattacking and faster the tempo, pace does more. With slower build-up passing attack, pace does less.
So, if you have tactics optimized for pace, of course the faster players will do the best.
There's still room for less-fleet-of-feet players to do very very well, however, given other conditions.
