I have a question about seeding and the draw for the Quarter Finals?? I am little unsure here.

I drew Inter in my CL Group stage, with me finishing top and Inter second.

I have now got Inter in the quarter final, so my question is, arnt I not supposed to meet them again until the final?

i thought it was slightly different, you get drawn against the second placed team, but i presumed you could meet them in the semis.

Cant recall i have seen anyone draw anyone from their own group before - but SI are normally pretty hot on the regulations

According to the offivial rules, the 1/4 finals are an open draw.

"The eight winners of the first knockout round contest the quarter-finals. The
quarter-final pairings are determined by means of a draw. The quarter-finals
are played under the cup (knock-out) system, on a home-and-away basis
(two legs). The team which scores the greater aggregate of goals in the two
matches qualifies for the semi-finals. "
