i agree though that some of the ownership moves do not make sense, especially with a rather large balance. it seems that with a large balance they'd be more concerned with fielding the best possible team rather than income.
In all honesty, i dont think there are many clubs in the world who WOULDNT accept an 18million offer for a goalkeeper - Arsenal are a bigger club than Blackburn, end of story. Thats life, i dont think this is a bug, although in some cases it may need tweaking. Personally i havent had a problem with this in my game yet - few unexpected transfers and all with realisitic values so far.....
Havent had the Micah richard problem either, I tried to buy him as liverpool, offered 20mill straight up and was rejected.

If you couldn't be bothered to offer him a new contract then you've got no-one to blame but yourself to be honest mate.
If this happens to me and it's a player I really want to keep I just offer them a very good contract once the bid's accepted and they'll often stay.

Felt I needed a change at the back too. Going for Robert Green. England no1 choice keeper atm, 29 so at his peak, and hopefully hes a good communicator.
Got a bank balance now of 39 million so will be able to improve the rest of the team. (looking at aaron lennon).
This happened to me on FM07 so I think it's just one of those things rather than a bug. I was being offer 4 times the players value, but I didn't want to sell him to a rival so kept refusing. But eventually the board stepped in and accepted it.

If you wanted a new keeper anyway...why are you complaining? you just sold a keeper for £6m more than he is worth.....
