okay, heres the scenario. I started the game manager of Southend United, In league 1. at the end of the season, having finished runner up in the play off final i resigned. then i went To italian serie b Brescia, after 11 games i resigned again, saving them for iminent relegation. Okay then 1 year later, in 2010 i was offered the Nigeria manager job, i took. and in the first world cup game, i beat Ukraine 3-1. I then went into the next game against Uruguay, knowing i had France last. I knew i coudnt lose, because id almost definitly lose to France. Okay heres the situation its 94minutes, Uruguay are 1-0 up. BUT we have a corner, my goalie and all defenders come up for it, the player goes to kick it and.... THE BLOODY WHISTLE GOES!!!!. this has happened in EVERY FM game ever, in the last seconds, if u have a corner or free kick, you dont get to take it! FM09 must simply have a solution to this, because its just INSANE

In fairness, if the time is up, then it is up and you shouldn't get more time just out of convenience. However, if it was true to life then one of two things would happen:

1. The ref blows the whistle immediately the ball goes out of play, before any goes to set themselves up for the corner.
2. As happens infuriatingly often, the ref allows the kick to be taken, but then whistles immediately, while the ball is in flight.

It is not unheard of for referee's to blow the FT whistle while the ball is in the air following a free-kick or corner, which is what you're complaining about.

And what has your managerial career history got to do with the ref blowing for full time? I can just see Sir Alex now answering the media's question....So Sir Alex, Ronaldo missed a penalty that would of given you a 2 goal lead...whats your view on this? Well....when i was manager at Aberdeen, i once had a fried egg butty and it gave me heartburn so i resigned. I told Ronaldo not to worry, Pepto-Bismal will be ok. :cool:

Doesnt the ball have to be in play for the ref to end the half or signal for full time?
