Apologies if this has been asked before, but I don't recall seeing it anywhere, and haven't been able to find anything that tells me about it.
What do the different values of CA mean? I understand that it's a scale from 1 to 200, with 200 being Pele standard, and 1 being closer to my standard, but what is considered, for example, good for a Premiership player? I mean, would a player with CA of 170 be walking into the Chelsea squad, or failing to make the first team in Norwich (as an example). Scouts describe players as 'good Premiership players' or whatever, but what range of CA does this refer to? Thanks in advance.
To be perfectly honest CA is not something I have ever looked at so I can't answer your question in the way you would expect. For me the editor is only used to change competition names - I've never looked at a players stats in the editor and don't intend to as to me it's cheating (not meaning to be offensive there, just stating my own belief).
What I would say is that whether or not a player deserves to be in the team depends on your own opinion of the player and on his current form when in the team. For me it makes the game more believeable as you don't hear managers in real life saying they believe player x has a CA of 180 so he muist play, do you?
No, I agree that CA is not what you should use to judge players. It's just when I read, for example, Kip's AI experiment, and he says a player has a CA of 170, I don't know what that means, and I was interested as to what that means. When I play, I don't use FMM or anything like that either, so I have no idea what the CA of my players are. I'm just interested in seeing the bridge between in-game quality and CA. But thank you for the post.
