I've just been trying to remember an absolutely fantastic player from CM 97/98. I think his name had OlÃ* in there somewhere, and I seem to think he may have been Brazilian and played for Real BetÃ*s in Spain. Am I imagining this? If not, what became of him in real life?

Wow that takes me back! I remember Oli being awesome back in the day. Pretty sure his name was just Oli and definitely played for Betis. (Can still see his name flashing in green and white!)

Seems I was wrong about him being Brazilian. Thanks for the link. He really was a quality player, on the game anyway. Don't remember there being all that much fuss about him in real life. BetÃ*s used to make quite a splash back then, though, I recall. I'm sure it was around that time that they bought DenÃ*lson for a world record fee.

I remember Oli and Alfonso were deadly for Betis, but it was some what a short lifed partnership. I think Alfonso moved on and Oli lost his form and never recovered.

Not quite as far back but I remember some classic betis games. Joaquin, Denilson and Capi leading my lethal attack!
