Hey all,

Ive played FM for a few years now, though im not that good at it. I just enjoy getting stuck in and all.

What would be the best way to start a game? Mid-Low premiership side? Lower league side?
As someone whos not great of course.

Thanks.

Dafuges challenge would be a good start. Would allow you to test out new features and use your own tactics/teamtalks and see there effects

I used to start with Norwich every time but the last time i started in the lowest league possible and have to say i've never enjoyed the game so much and that really is saying something since i've played every version of CM/FM to date, i would advise starting at the bottom and working your way up.

Thanks.
I was considering Portsmouth. Might be a good place to start.

What's this Dafuges challenge?

Yeah, even if you don't go anywhere from there (which tbh is more realistic than succeeding at Daruges challenge), you should be able to get some enjoyment out of it. I have been planning on doing it myself one day (i.e. manage a team like Cambridge City), but just haven't done it. The only team I have ever managed not in a nation's top league is Plymouth Argyle.

Another way to choose a team is to do the randomize feature when you pick a team to manage, but only go with one located in the lowest league (keep randomizing until one comes up).
