Hi.

I am a regular fm player and play it non stop (in fact haven't been to sleep since I got the patch!).

However, i am USELESS with every other aspect of my computer. I love the realism of the game and am desperate to get the right player pictures, kits, badges etc but have no idea how to do it.

I have been given instructions a few times and read the info that SI supplies but I am terrible with computer jargon and need the SIMPLEST of step by step instructions,

I can download what I need from the net and know to put them in the c drive but then get lost when having to create folders etc, configure and anything else from here....haven't got a clue1

If someone can help me with this I would be EXTREMELY grateful.

all the things u have downloaded..you just need to put it into the C\documents n settings\fm07\skins folder..after which you untick use skin cache and make sure you tick reload skin after confirm..in the preferences when u start the game..

If I go tho c:// I can't find a link that is 'documents n setting' etc. Where is this, how do I find it?

Can I put player pictures in this 'skins folder' or are there seperate folders 4 faces, badges etc?

Click and follow: Start > My documents > Sports Interactive > Football Manager > Skins. For skins.

For game graphics:

Sports Interactive > Football Manager > Graphics > Pictures: (then you'll have to put player pics, in the player pics folder. Any logos will be in the logos section too. It's like a puzzle, you have to put the bits in the right places for it to work. Then do what was said above:

"untick use skin cache and make sure you tick reload skin after confirm..in the preferences". If you do it right, you'll have the graphics displayed in game after you 'refresh'.

Once ive done docu, SI, FM, there is no folder 4 graphics. Just Skins, Tactics, Sounds, Schedules etc.

Any ideas?

Also,sorry to be stupid but what exactly goes in skins? Does this include background pictures?

Nah mate skins are for skins and skins only. (so if you download a skin, you put the folder in there).

Sounds like you need to create a new folder (call it graphics) So the location of it would be: Sports Interactive > Football Manager > Graphics. Then let me know the next:

Do you have the stuff you want to add to the game already?

Joe, I’ve extracted every winzip or winrar file that I’ve downloaded to Cmy doc’s\sports interactive\fm2007\skins. Don’t bother with creating sub-folders in that skins folder.

That includes backgrounds, face packs, kits, logos, etc etc etc. They will all work if you place them in there and tick/untick the boxes as mentioned above.

Don’t worry about placing in any ‘graphics’ folder. In fact, if you put it in the program files folder then you’ll run the risk of losing them all if you install any patch.

Losing them how? The patch never touches your my documents folders? Saying you can put all your files in the one folder is indeed an option yes but now you've probably confused him even more

ive got a few downloaded files already (from sortitoutsi.net) such as prem player faces and logos.

Ive just dragged them into the skins folder and ticked/unticked boxes in prefs as u said cadijk but nothing happened.

Created a graphics folder as u stated doddy but this also hasn't worked

Is there maybe something I need to do with the files before I put them here?

I have basically downloaded them from the site (saved to computer) and then once complete have dargged them into the suggested folders?

Sorry to keep bothering u but really wanna get this working!
