Hi. Im hving trouble putting a skin onto the database.
I've rxtracted all the files.
Put them into the FM07 - data - skins
and can't seem to get them onto the game??

eerrmm, what skin ?
and, are you using winrar.?
and when you extract it, re-start fm and change it to the right skin in preferences...
and untick skin cache and tick allways reload skin on confirm...

Hi,
Firstly, you shouldn't be messing around inside the data folders.
There is an area for skins to be placed in the My Documents section (My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2007/skins/...)
In here you should extract the skin and ensure inside the folder is an xml file the same name as the folder, for example, My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2007/dave/... should be the directory and that should have My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2007/skins/dave/dave.xml inside it as well as possibly a few folders like graphics, panels, settings.
Also, if you are trying to use a skin that has been designed for Football Manager 2006 then it will not work or display in your preferences. You should not try to use these skins with FM 2007.

Hmm I've put them in the documents area and still doesn't seem to be working  - Preferences1  - Preferences2  - Inside My Documents  - The Skins Trying To Work.  - Inside the Skins Folder.

Hmm, it looks as if you have done everything correctly, so I'm not sure why it doesn't seem to be working.

Having exactly the same problem. Put skin into My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2007/skins/... and it doesnt show once I relaunch the game. I've also unticked 'skin cache' and ticked 'reload...' and confirmed but still nothing.
Its weired cause I've got all the backgrounds, logos, kits, facepacks etc to work..but no joy with the skin. Thanks for any help.

same here..
can't get the new skins to list in preferences under 'Window Settings'. Only seeing the default skin.
I've moved my profile-directory so that it's under Football Manager 2007\Profiles. That shouldn't make a difference should it?
