Doesn't help. Not on my game.

Here's what does help:
- Setting a stellar high price on a player's head usually prevents your chairman from selling your player for a discount price.
- When the chairman does take matter into his own hands, then there's only one thing you can do. Offer your player a new and significally improved contract. This mostly does the trick.

If a club offers a huge amount of money thats too good for the club to refuse then he might accept it. Anyway its his club, he can do what he wants

Set your asking value to zero.

This will cause the teams to make offers of zero (even if you have reject all bids and unavailable for transfer ticked), thus they will NEVER make a bid "too good to be true".

However, the downside is that they will offer CONSTANTLY for your player(s) set to zero value. For example, I've had the same club offer for the same player 3 times in one day (last day of transfer period). This drawback, generally, isn't game-altering (just you'll have to make a couple hundred extra clicks in transfer windows) unless the player gets upset that you are rejecting bids from clubs.

My problem is that playing in Sweden (currently), my players never get a game-value set to an appropriate one (the game would value them automatically more if they were in the EPL, for example, with the exact same stats), so EPL/La Liga/Bundesliga/Serie A/French Ligue teams routinely will offer "too good to be true" offers for players in the Swedish league.

Thx all, I'll try the 0 value thing, see if i can put up with it till im promoted and can keep my players happy

You weren't kidding when you said a few hundred extra clicks. Theres a list of clubs making bids as long as my third leg.

Working a treat though, i'm cambridge city in the championship and the prem boys are going nuts for my central defenders.
