I tried this out, extracting it then replacing my old panels file exactly as stated here and it does nothing, there's no Huge database option.

The panels is not a folder, panels.fmf is an actual file that exists in the /data/ directory, you just need to overwrite it with the one you downloaded (inside the rar).
It worked for me, I can choose Huge database when creating a new game, although the difference doesn't seem terribly huge, most players are still greyed in the Chinese league i loaded (View Only), I still have to choose it as Playable for all teams to get filled.

Sky, I did exactly what you did. I extracted the file, pasted it into my data directory, overwriting the file, and when I went to start a new game it wasn't there. Did you do anything differently? Although I'm glad to hear that it didn't really change anything so I'm not really mising out (I'm guessing that's why it wasn't an available option in the first place).

you may have to start your game using the advanced tab - dont think it works with the wizard.

I did start my game with the Advanced tab, not the wizard, and it did not show up.
