You'll see talk of FMM or FM Modifier. This is the same program and it is a saved game editor. However, you'll have to search the forum to see whether or not there is a version compatible with the patch yet as I'm not sure there is. Either way, it's the only saved game editor available at present.
People,
FMM is not a saved game editor, it only works when the game is up and running and does not look at your save game at all.
Itmulben:
The reason that I am stating this is so that you do not become confused and try to use FMM on your saved game as nothing will happen.
As previously stated, do a search for FMM to find out what you can and can not do with the editor.
The latest version of FMM does not work with the beta patch.
My guess is that the guy who makes it (JPee) will release a new version when the full patch comes out.
To all intents and purposes, FMM is a saved game editor in that it allows post-startup editing of a player's game much like the MCM editors of past. Regardless of whether it looks at your save game, it edits ongoing games.

It is NOT a saved game editor It is a so-called real-time editor.
Saved game editors let you work on your saved game without having to run FM, real-time editors require FM running. The MCM (or MCFM) editors of past were real-time editors as well.
But we do agree that the intention of saved-game and real-time editors basically is the same. And the reason I'm bothered about semantics is the same as what Smitle says:

Please note that I was not having a go at you, it is just that if Itmulben is a beginner he may become confused.
A lot of what you say is correct to people that have some knowledge of the game.
the edge
Could not have explained it better, thanks.

</BLOCKQUOTE> Yep, exactly. I think CM God was the first RT Editor for this game
