This may sound weird but bear with me. This is based on imagining the tactics positions screen.
If you were to play Fifa07, the default Man Utd line up features a staggerd formation with:
Carrick somewhere between DMC and MC
Scholes as an advanced MC, but not quite an AMC, Ronaldo as effectively an AMR
Giggs again as somewhere in between an ML/AML.
I would get a screenie to show you, but as I've only ever seen it on the console versions its a bit hard to show.
I'm trying to replicate this on FM but its proving hard!
good idea - would make it very hard to mark some of your players - but at the same time there will be many gaps - maybe try and reduce the gaps by having vey similar settings for the midfield 4
