It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Easy success for top clubs!

It amazes me just how many people start topics and/or add to others, about struggling with clubs like the English top four?.

For anyone in that boat, here is a simple yet effective guide to success.

1. If your playing as Liverpool, Arsenal or Manure, use the tactic already in place, both home and away without tweaking of any kind.

2. Dont get involved in team talks or any other media interraction.

3. Improve your squad.

Thats it, its as simple as 1,2 and 3!.

If you want a bit more involvement, try to find yourself a decent training schedule and set piece routine.

I have tested the basic 442 that most teams start with and it should guarantee you instant success!.

Yes, it really is as simple as that!.

I was going to mention for anyone who wants to play as Chelsea, use the 442 that the rest of the top four start with, as the 4132 is not as strong.

I'm not saying you wont lose games, but i'd bet you a pound to a penny that you'll be challenging in all competitions.

Another tip for people who enjoy watching the games, whether it be in full mode or just the key incidents.

If your playing against a decidedly defensive opposition, turn the short farrows into long farrows, but be ready to switch back if they change to a more attacking formation!.

Anyone bothered to try this yet?.

I'm currently 2nd with West Ham and could easily have won all my games so far. Granted i brought in Van Der Vaart and Barnetta, but its not like they are ruling stat wise!.

All i've done is switch the full backs fwr's to mixed and changed the whole teams tackling to easy!.

There's an argument to use ai defaults as some of the formations are very effective, but to not invent your own things, or make your own tweaks, and ignore the media etc would probably be a bit boring for most players.

Dont we buy a game like this to do these things? Im not sure how enjoyable the game can be if youre simply pressing continue.

The way i look at it socks is, if i can be as or more succesful by doing the least amount possible, then why take the chance of absolutely stuffing things up?.

My initial post suggests this being a good idea for newbies or people struggling to succeed with the very best teams, so i'll stand by it and still think its a very good idea!.

It also says to me that there are still some very basic flaws with the game if success is just as easy without all the hoo ha that gets posted on these boards every five minutes!.

hi 2nd

I agree if using the default formations has advantages, however I would also make the point that this could be a building block for effective formations - by just making a few adjustments to suit.

Just jumping in a going tweak crazy on a formation that youre sure will work doesnt yield good results, so actually I support the essence of what you are saying.

Less is more.
