Hats off to Cleon for that, wonderful stuff. But I wonder, the very fact that Cleon succeeded to win the league with Sheffield united, doesn't it make the game unrealistic? With great tactic Sheffield united in real life can be able to achieve a mid table position at best. Bring on the best coaches, the scholaris, mourinhos and capellos. Would they be able to win Sheffield united the league in the first season? No, probably they won't be able to acieve that in 10 seasons.
And thats where I think Cleons experiment points out beyond doubt that the game is flawed and does not mimic real life as well as it is made out to be.
Also, Saumyajit , they dont have stat numbers and sliders in real life do they? It's impossible for SI to mimic real life in every way, they can only get as close as possible.
Hello2, as close as possible does not mean it should be possible to win the league with sheffield united losing just one match. That is about as far removed from reality as you can hope to get.
I am not moaning. I don't do sheffield uniteds, but i don't get relegated with chelsea either. I achive 2nd, 4th and 3rd with udinese in 3 seasons, won with arsenal in the first season and got bored, took villa to 5th with that massive transfer fee
I just feel that the game discounts footballer prowess a little too much...with great management i would expecvt sheffield to pull a couple of mighty scalps, have good cup runs, and a mid table finish...thats all. If they can win the league unbeaten with good management, then for me that is not how it should be.
It seems that the general idea here is that if anyone is not happy with something in the game he is a whiner...
