hi, just thought i would share my tactics with which have done real well for, only losing 1 game and drawing 2 all season (over 70 games.
3 clicks attacking mentality
mixed passing
3 clicks creativity
5 clicks width (playing wide)
3 clicks defence push up
play offside
play counter attack
play playmaker
i play a 4-4-2
Defence: Marcelo/Richards/Mexes/Vanden Borre
utilising wingbacks (with arrows forward)
one DC stays back, one tight marking
Midfield: Downing/VanDerVaart/Bangura/Lennon
Wingers have arrows forward/forward runs often/cross often
VDVaart arrow diagonaly forward with free role (also my playmaker)forward runs often, long shots often
Bangura arrow diagonaly backwards with hold up ball
Attack: Eddie Johnson/Danny Haynes
both disrupt keeper on free kicks/corners
all views welcome, but as said this system has worked wonders for me, lost against burnley twice (must be my bogey team)
havent played them yet, im in championship, although i have beaten everton twice, blackburn, tottenham, man utd and chelsea in cup runs, i would imagine arsenal are a little more difficult as they won the premiership easily in the game, but i think this system should beat them, the key is having a a DC with good acceleration/pace (Rchards is ideal) for the tight marking, he rarely anything, but Mexes clears anything he does.
What team are you using? what do you mean by "3 clicks"? Do you mean 3 clicks to teh left or to the right?
I don't mean to be a buzz kill but how did you get players like Van Der Vaart and Mexes to come to a Championship team?
im leeds, all the clicks are to the right, i edited leeds to have a similar reputation to man utd and set a starting transfer fund of £18mill instead of £1.2 and edited Van der Vaart into my team, Mexes i got for £9mill after he was unhappy with the club selling De Rossi and Chivu. i have also raised about £5mill selling a fair few of my players (have about 4 original first teamers left) and the rest are youngsters i signed cheap or free.
i have beaten premiership teams as well, and have started the the 2nd season in the premiership, will see how much more difficult, try the tactic see how it works for you in your league, if it dont work then its obviously because of the players i had that i won, if it does work then its the tactics themselves.
