Firstly, I decided to embark on this quite boring mission because I couldn't find a good tactic for my Milan team. For some reason I'm very crappy with them using the forum's tactics (in the first couple of seasons anyway). I
realised that when I started a new game with some Serie C team that Milan (i.e. cpu controlled) won the Serie A and the Champions League in the first season (can't remember what they won in the second).
So basically I've decided to test a number of the "super" and "not-so-super" tactics from this forum and have a little comparison of results. My tests, though, are by no means comprehensive. I started off by holidaying to the 25th
of August, 2007 - the first competitive match of the season. I saved the game at this point and tested each tactic from this date. Also I only ran the tests until 31st December, 2007 though - a mere 17 Serie A games - as I don't
have a whole lot of time to spare on this. I've sorted the results by the number of points gained using each tactic.
I'm not sure what else I could have done (while holidaying) to keep the other variables constant but I'm pretty sure that injuries would have an effect (maybe a major one especially if it's Kaka). I've also totally ignored Champions
Leauge and Coppa Italia results - all of the results below are from the Serie A. Here you go...
And before you guys rip me apart for my quite lame testing I'd just like to point out - again - that I was just in search for a decent tactic for Milan, I wasn't exactly trying to prove anything wrong - or right, for that matter! - with
the game. Let me know what you think (unless it's something bad). Also could a mod fix my table please (as I'm expecting to mess it up)?
