I haven't had to much luck with home grown talent over the years.

My best was when I was managing Montichiari and after a few years my back up left back was from the academy, my left winger who was playing really well was from the academy (one of those wingers with a only a few good stats but in all the right places) and best of all I had a promising striker. He made his debut at 15, first team regular at 17, Italian U21's at 18 and was still improving. I think he had a decent shot at becoming an international. However my save game died and I never found out.
