As long as there are useless managers like Souness and Redknapp who spend big money on crap players this will always be in football.

I have to disagree with you Justin. Redknapp's record is one of getting half decent players for very little money. He doesn't get it right every time, but his record is pretty good.

I don't think it is unrealistic that if a lowe rleague side had a player they deemed to be of enough quality to play 2, 3 or 4 divisions above, for a club with money to spend, to be interested in, and actively seek a transfer fee considerably higher than the player's actual worth.
Just look at *some plurk*, its unlikely he'll prove to be worth £1million, but if clubs have the money available, and are willing to take the risk, there is every chance of transfers like this happening.

If you know anythingabout Football you already know this or have heard the rumours. Nothing new in what I said. understand if deleted for legal reasons though. But I'm sure SI have a policy such as "anything posted on these forums are that of the individual and are nothing to do with SI or any of its partners" etc.
