yeh yeh, had to have a clever thread title and all that
Seriously, though, here is my issue with FM2006. It seems like I am gett penalties awarded to the opposing team too often. Now, I don't watch enough footie to know what is right, so the game could be right on. However, in the last two seasons in my Stockport save, I have given up 11 and 12 penalties for the season, whilst being awarded only 3 and 3. So I am getting hosed in results. The players I have are not overly aggressive, and I don't use a tight marking or hard tackling style. It feels like a conspiracy
Does that sound right to any of you? How often are penalties given in English football at the higher levels? (or any level?). Is a dozen or so in a season against too much? Is three too few? garrrrr
While this is just the first season, and certainly nothing to go by just yet, I've noticed that my opponents have been awarded far more penalties than I have been, when foul numbers are fairly even. To add to that, the penalties I am awarded are when I'm up by 2 or 3 late in a match, whereas 6 times my opponents were awarded penalties which pulled them even or put them ahead.
Could just be that the French don't like the Canucks mind you, since I'm in the French National
