I'm moving into my 4th season with Bayonne and am considering starting an update thread so that I'll have some outlet for my FM stories other than friends and family members who certainly don't care. I've stayed true to the LLM ethics with one possible exception. I tried posting adds at the job center for staff but I never got a single applicant that I could afford. I really needed an ass man bad (like a hunk-a-hunk o' burnin love type) and after 3 months of waiting not a single person that I could afford applied. I got frustrated and did a search for scouts, saw a guy with a cool looking name and signed him to be my ass man. The only problem is that the dude is Brazilian and only speaks Portugese. I did myself no favors as I believe he had one ability above a 7 rating. I just reread the rules as I didn't want to post a non kosher update so I fired the guy and signed a guy from Cameroon to replace him. Is it going to be a problem for me to post this update?

My personal opinion is that this little misdemeanour should be overlooked. As you say; it's not like you would've gained too much.

Of more concern to me is your inability to locate one of the larger keys on the keyboard. The 'enter' key. If you do post updates, please try to use it.

Most people around here seem to agree the job centre is ar$e on toast and will use the staff search.

Obviously, you've still got to make a realistic choice and your Brazilian guy probably wasn't that but you sorted it, so your update should be chicken soup.

I don't see a problem with you posting your updates, just make sure they are not stories!

With regards to the Job Centre and Searching in FM, most will admit to using the Search screen for Staff only, I am one and a certain jockmodpoof is another for xure. The Job Centre as you have found out produces a lot of foregin interest with large wage demands, not suitable for LLM. The general rule of thumb for the Search screen is to filter for people based in your Country of your save and then look for 'Obscure' reputations.

Alternatively, you could use the even larger "carriage return" (colloquially known as just "return") key.

I said this million times, I'll say it again. No matter how fecked up Job Centre is, it still gives you at least two or three canidates from your area. I also find search screen realistic, since it costs 0 to actually get all the info.
But hey, it is your game, play it the way you like etc. etc.

Agreed. My keyboard at work has 'enter' and my keyboard at home has 'enter'. Must be an oz thing, or more likely, American.
