I'm not quite sure what has got into some of players' minds lately, but they've managed to pick up an amazing 7 red cards in the last 3 games!!!
I'm not quite sure what's brought it on -- last season I had a good discipline record and I haven't suddenly started instructing them to scythe the opposition down or anything -- maybe it's simply despair.
I know that the team aren't exactly setting the league alight (now propping up the rest of ECN after those defeats), but has anybody else had such a sequence of ill-discipline?
Often your side's discipline is inversely proportional to your success. It's the old adage, try to get more goals than your opposition in any given match and the rest will sort itself out
Yep. I've had a player for 10 years. He'd never been sent off but was shown red in four consecutive (for him) games, one of which ended up with my team having 3 sent off.

My dicipline has got steadily worse as each season has gone on. I didn't see a single red card in my first season! Still, this seems to have changed this season (6) since I dropped *penalty conceder extrordinaire*
I don't have too many problems with red cards (touch wood). I do seem to collect yellows like they're going out of fashion though. I had a few games with 7 or 8 players booked. I assume there's some variable in how harsh referees are.
I finally lost it the other night, in a fit of rage after 'Whiny DM' notched his third red card in 8 games this season. He got fined 2 weeks wages, followed by being fined 2 more weeks wages and chucked in the reserves. He still has 2 years on his contract but he'll never see the light of day again.
Funny thing i he's a seemingly frustrated former-first-choice player who has been superceded by a youth squad bloke. After bitching and moaning about playing time i finally pick him for a few games and he sets about impressing me and winning back his first-team spot by getting tossed at three crucial points of important league games.
The ****** is in my doghouse and i've bolted the door shut.
The discipline of me teams is generally shocking but that is just representative of my hot-headed manner and traditional Scottish approach to the game.
Team talk would read something along the lines of "Break his ******* legs!"
