NK Pomorac – Season 2009/2010

Expectations: Top half finish.

Spent 1.8M €, bringing in a Cameroonian AM/F C, a Serbian AM RC, a brazilian M C on a free, and two young Croatian talents, a SW/D C, and a DM. Offloaded 7 players, for a total of 1.9M €.

1.HNL: Did exactly what the board wanted me to do, finishing 5th .

HR Ngmetni Cup: Lost in the Quarter-Final against Rijeka, om Penalties.

UEFA Cup: I'd rather not talk about this, out in the Second Qualifying Round, vs Servette, on away goals.

NK Pomorac – Season 2010/2011

Expectations: Top half again.

Brought in 8 players (€ 725k), but only one of them got into the first team, the loanee striker from my first season, who came on a free. 10 players out, mostly frees (total € 600k)

1:HNL: Was in the 1st place almost all season, but lost against second placed Hajduk in the 30th round, so they went on top, with only 2 games to go. Final match of the season: I win and Hajduk loose!! Pomorac Croatian Champions!! \o/

HR Ngmetni Cup: Winners! Pomorac do the double! Final: Pomorac 4-3 (agg) Dinamo.

It works like this:

The teams play each other twice. After that the league splits up into 2 groups of 6 (first 6 and last 6). The teams in this groups play each other twice again, so it can happen that the 7th has more points than the 3rd or the 4rd, for example.

The last placed team is directly relegated, and the 11th plays a playoff match against the 2nd placed of the 2nd division
