The board have given me a pretty generous 30k/week wage budget, the wage bill is around 27k/week, and we can offer players between 2-3k/week. This is adequate for our aim of staying in league one, but I'm not sure how far we can push on from that.

We fill our stadium every time we play but lose money because of our wage bill, so we rely on cup runs and selling players to raise funds, which is pretty realistic I suppose.

(Apologies in advance for the long post)

2015/2016

I bring in some fresh faces for the new campaign, a few defenders and a good centre mid. League one with its 4 relegation places and some seriously big clubs is still a daunting prospect for the boys of Yeading. The bookies have us at 80-1 to go up and their lack of faith seems justified as we pick up just 12 points from our first 10 games. A few tweaks, a lot of shouting and some cup success sees us start to string a few results together and by Christmas we are looking comfortable.

January is pretty quiet, we don't bring anyone in and as the chairman's bed now consists entirely of £20 notes, we are able to fend off interest in our better players. We look good going into the second half of the season and are even an outside bet for the playoffs, however a dip in form and an injury list that Graeme Souness would be proud of sees us win only 3 of our last 15 games and we slip down the table to finish 14th. Our inspirational captain, who has been with Yeading for 16 years finally hangs up his boots, his no nonsense defending will be missed.

The cups were good this year, the suck arse cup sucked arse, but we got to the FA cup 5th round, a new club record Our league cup run however made this look very ordinary. We saw off Reading (CH), who we've now beaten in every cup, in the 1st round 0-1, in the 2nd we come from 2-0 down to put Leeds (Prem) out on penalties, West Brom (CH) visit the Warren in the 3rd round and are well beaten 2-1 and in the next round our 0-1 win at Southampton (Prem) costs their poor manager his job (). We are drawn against Arsenal in the quarter finals, and in front of 55000 at the Emirates stadium (and millions on TV) we totally outclass the Premiership winners, the 0-2 score line flattering them! The semi finals see us drawn against Tottenham (Prem) who we hold to a battling 2-2 draw at White Heart lane, but they show their class in the return leg beating us 0-2.

League 1: 14th - 62pts
LDV Vans: 1st R (lost 1-0 to Northampton)
League Cup: Semi Final (Lost 4-2agg to Tottenham)
FA Cup: 5th R (lost 1-2 to West Ham)

Players in: 6 - 130k
Players out: 4 - 1.25m
Players released: 4

Alan, Billericay have been successfully dodging relegation from the Conference for the last 4 years, including a truly miraculous escape in my last season in that division.

Millford, We're pretty rich these days, got about £6 million in the bank and the wage budget is an extravagant 90k/week! I haven't dented it much yet, going to see how my youngsters get on this year

2016/2017

Another season in league one beckons, with the board expecting a brave battle against relegation. We bring in a couple of players to make us more competitive, the bookies still don't fancy our chances much and have us 40/1 to go up. We make a poor start, then go on a good run, in 2nd for a few weeks, then tail off towards Christmas. The cups mostly suck, and we spend a lot time embroiled in contract wrangles with two of our players.

January sees us ship out a few whiners, and bring in two new faces which does a little to improve our league form. We're looking like playoff contenders and even manage to make the 5th round of the cup for the second year running. However a truly dire February and March, where we can't buy a goal, much less a win sees us slip down the table. We improve in April, smashing Notts Co. 0-6 on the last day to finish in 12th place. We're exactly mid table, 15 points off the playoffs, and 15 off relegation, I'm more than a little unhappy to have spent £1 million to go exactly nowhere this year.

This season I continued my run of being linked with every job going and never getting offered one. The most attractive being with Notts Forest and Super league strugglers Vitoria Guimares.

League 1: 12th - 63pts
LDV Vans: 1st R (lost 2-3 to Gillingham)
League Cup: 1st R (lost 2-3 to Luton)
FA Cup: 5th RR (lost 3-2 to Leicester)

Players in: 8 - 1m
Players out: 5 - 85k
Players released: 4

I'm devastated to find out that we don't own The Warren and so are stuck with a 3500 (250 seated!) capacity forever more. Although establishing ourseles as a league one side is certainly doable.
I would cry if that happened to me! Thankfully so far I have always been at clubs able to expand - eventually. I'm cyrrently playing my first season in the Premiership at Layer Road while the Braintree stadium is quadrupled in size to a magnificent 16,000

Good update  good luck
