I've had runs of bad/good results but nothing particularly unusual. Even the 8-1 spanking we got at Cagliari wasn't that bizarre (they walked away with the league, we were in one of the bad runs).

Makes me think of Aldershot in the old Division 4.
They were a team who could score many goals or conceed many goals.
Inconsistent was probably their club nickname |

I still think it's strange how people play the exact same team and tactics every game against opponents who vary wildly in skill, physical abilities and tactics, yet expect to get consistant results.
In a game as detailed as this, where you have players (masses of variables just here), morale, fitness, weather, location, league position (or cup round), etc, etc, etc affecting results, even playing 30 matches with the same 22 men on the field could result in hugely different results.

| I've been playing CM/FM since CM97/98, and I've never seen these wild swings in results and have never found the need to change around my squad and tactics for nearly every game. That would be pretty unrealistic if that became a requirement, as I can't recall too many clubs having to shuffle the squad and constantly change tactics just to avoid winning 5-0 and then being thrashed 5-0 in the next game.
I would agree with needing to change things if morale, fitness, or some other issue is of pressing concern, but I'm seeing these results with a fully fit team with superb morale, good weather, and opposition being fairly even. There is no rhyme or reason to the results. You can never go back, review the situation, and determine that a particular factor was the cause. It seems completely random.
