I started unemployed with the English, Scotish, Welsh and both Nothern Ireland and Republic of Ireland leagues running down to their lowest playable leagues.
I had a few applications turned down, then got a job at Droylsden in the conf. north in March 06.
I had to save them from relegation but couldn't and therefore found myself out of a job again.

In the summer i got the job at N.Ireland 2nd div side Portstewart where i signed a few aging players on frees (no cash)

Most LLaMas don't start unemployed. It is very likely that you end up somewhere else than in the lowest league. Also, it's always the same teams where you'll end up with, since there are only a couple of teams without a manager at the start of the season.

For these reasons, use Frank. Frank is unbiased and will give you a crap team for sure. And above all: it's in 95% a team you've never heard of.

Signed **** and **** on frees although they are both retiring at the end of the 2nd season.
Which part of the 'no player naming' rule confuses you? You've posted here before, so surely you must be aware of it.

Just think of chewitt as a scout who believes in ***** ***

What is Frank? Is that the random team generator? If so, I agree...that right there is the way to go if you don't want to bother with being unemployed. Plus it is always encouraging when they say, "now go take them to glory!"

Cosmo: If always use the same league as your starting point then yes, the same clubs will always be available. Try what I said above. Use a completly different league as your start date and a whole new batch of random clubs will be looking for a new boss.

My current game in the English league I used Brazil 2005 as my start date, which is Janurary. That meant I was a mid-season hire. I usually do that to try and save a team from relegation or to improve their recent poor form.
