Hence, I have never needed to learn textspeak in order to save a few pennies.

Okay. I'll try to explain then my opinion about txt speek and whatever it's called.
I'm not a native English speaker. I know that it's hard for me at times to understand others because they have a much larger treasury of words than I have. And I see myself as pretty damn good in English already.
So just imagine others, who already have a hard time understanding and reading text in correct English. If they don't know a word, they can look it up in a dictionary. If the word isn't spelt properly though, a dictionary is useless. And if you even abbreviate things, it's absolutely impossible, unless you know that kind of slang.
Also, not giving a damn about spelling, grammar or punctuation is a slap in the face of everyone who cares. It's arrogant and ignorant and to me it's like walking into a room when you need help, and screaming and cursing until you get what you need.
For exactly these reasons, posting in English (and not in txt speek) is one of the House Rules of this forum. Rules you agreed to, when registering.
Call me an arrogant bastard for not answering your question (or the ones of any other person who doesn't give a damn about friendliness or respect). But I'm not going to respond in all kindliness to someone who only wants to take, take, take, without giving something back. Doing your best when writing a post is the least thing one can expect from others here.

mkus, however, is from Wales, so words without vowels rarely trouble him.
But, Mr dasfsdf, you haven't even begun to see how pedantic we can be if you think this is some sort of pinnacle.
