Two things have annoyed me in my last played season with Billericay Town.
Firstly, I reached the playoff final against Rochdale to be played at Britannia Stadium, Stoke. Rochdale get drawn as the home team, fair enough I thought, largely irrelevant really.
NO IT'S FUCKING NOT!!!
I don't get any gate money! 16,519 turn up for the game, which I'm happy with, I think it's a decent crowd. Look in my finances screen and I've not got any money!
You would think that Rochdale and ourselves would split the money evenly and some might go to the Conference and Stoke City for hosting the game.
Secondly, I signed a decent striker in the pre season who had been released by Crystal Palace. So decent he top scored with 45, 42 in the league (both club records) and he scored four in a match three times.
Close season, Linfield put in a bid. Fair enough, he's had a cracking season, he's going to attract interest.
The bid is £1,000,000
Absolutely ridiculous.
I want to refuse.
I can't.
The bid has triggered his £500,000 minimum release fee clause.
Bigger clubs come hunting, and he moves to Charlton Athletic for the said £1,000,000.
What I really like in 2006 though is that the min release clause isn't public. Everytime a big club comes in with a bid, I'm happy they bid more than the min release clause.
That said, I sometimes scout a player more than once (well, once the scout comes up with the player himself, and once I send my scout explicitely for him). I like it that sometimes they find out about those release clauses.

I haven't checked but I was surprised when a scout came back with a report once and included the min release clause, which I was sure I haven't seen before.
