PLaying in C2/C in Italy and there are no squad numbers!

Thats right. My strikers play as no. 9 and no. 10.

My right back 1s no.2, not no.42.

Oh for the good old days.

It's true but as my current season is going so badly in the Conference National, the bast thing about it was the assigning of squad numbers to my entire squad!

You know.. IRL at brasil, in most clubs 9 is for strikers and 10 is for playmakers!

Not in England.

10 is usually the powerhouse striker.

With 9 being the nippy guy next to him.

8 for playmakers - or sometimes 4. I dont know why but some attacking midfielders like to steal the DMs shirt.

That's not my experience. For example, look at the current Everton and Newcastle #9s - classic target men.

I think this has more to do with each club realy...

Vasco da Gama, for example, have a strong tradition under their 11 striker shirt!

It's *******'s **** these days!

I knew Mary Poppins would ruin my argument.

Im talking more about the days before squad numbers. With squad numbers the alpha-striker just takes the no. 9 now usually.

Different countries, different numbers:

Barça: 8 and 9 as strikers, and 4 and 10 as playmakers (it all comes down from God_himself's days and the Dream Team).
