Not because of that!

So.. what's the meaning of the word poof anyway? </BLOCKQUOTE>
Poof = a guy from England.
Poofland = England
Jockland = Scotland
Portupoof = Portugal

The word 'poof' has further meaning to the LLM fraternity though. Do have a look at the LLM history thread.

It's a great read and, IMO, should still be a sticky (damn postboosters )

It's pretty much the same as the google research, but without the pictures :o

IMO = In my opinion
IMHO = In my humble opinion
IIRC = If I recall correctly
LOL =

Proof that poofs aren't only from Poofland.

And Jordi (UELLfan) has a point. Most lower-league teams rely on researchers whose job is to look at approx. 500 teams in 3 weeks.
The best you can hope for in this situation is that you take over a club with a load of players with a mix of positions and one or two with some potential.

And if you don't - well, that's the fun of the game...

Well thanks for the tips (and the Geography lesson later in the thread).

I will be starting my first LLM game tonight. As my laptop isn't fantastic I will probably run all English leagues and the top divisions in Spain and Italy (or do you think it's a waste just to have those 2 extra ones?)

My biggest fear is tactics. I'm ashamed to say I have only devised one tactic on FM06. I used a very good one from the tactic forum and an old 05 tactic. The only one I have made is a very tight 5-3-2 defensive one, so my challenge will start with me trying to come up with a "default" tactic for my club.

Obviously my second callenge will be to not get too annoyed and the start. Patience is not a quality I posess!
