I did say most.
I was going to try the Steve Bruce challenge one of these days. |

I only apply for jobs at clubs I really want to be at. Otherwise I let Frank, holiday mode (if unemployed) and my (lack of) ability dictate where I go.
Although having said that, in my current season I've turned down Mansfield and Bradford on the grounds I don't want to go there rather than realism.

Thanks for all your help.
To be pedantic though am I allowed to take control of an LL club I may have knowledge of?
I want to manage a Conference North club. But as a Doncaster fan I know we have a few ex players at Hucknall and Barrow. Also my mates girlfriend's dad (cat's cousin twice removed etc) manages Stalybridge so I know a bit about their best players etc.
Is this an unfair start or am I being overly pedantic now!?!
I might just go to Frank!
Thanks again.

Nah, as long as you don't use any of that knowledge to gain an unfair advantage then you're okay |

In my experience, except for those at the elite clubs, the best players in the game don't correspond to the best players at the club. On the rare occasion I've had a fiddle about at Norwich to familiarise myself with the latest version I've always been shocked at how little the best in-game team corresponds to RL. As you go down the ladder, the players get more random, so it gets worse...

^What Julian said.
I'm always amazed at taking Lleida when familiarising and still seing our best DM/M C have the stats of a kickarse winger. At least they got his position right this time
In past versions (03-04 backwards) we had the most players misplaced (position wise) in Spain.
And I'm sure Simon will come next and talk about his friend who is a MC playing for some LL club being a lb in FM.
In my opinion, unless your team has a dedicated researcher, you'll find managing it a tad surreal and your RL knowledge will hinder you rather than help.
