Its not about winning. Its just so annoying to see strikers miss an empty goal from the penalty box, defenders tackling each other, goalkeepers who act like a 3rd goal post and midfielders who are just generally very stupid. The 2-3 weeks I am given regularly just isnt enough to switch out the entire team. Also, never have I seen a full bench of substitutes for my team the 1st game of the season, while all the others do. Its just a waste of a perfectly good friendly.

Why don't you do it the other way around? Choos the Swedish start date (around late feb) but manage a conf n/s side. That way the season will be nearly over and you may even have a relegation dogfight to start your game

Realistic, as managers get sacked toward the end of the season, but unlikely to give you any sort of advantage.
