I have read the rules and think i get the gist.
Ok i have began a career with billericay in a thread in another part of these forums called:
[dafuge's small club to big club challenge]
Some of the rules applied in this challenge may not mirror those here but i think its pretty close.
Now i like my realism so should fit in here.
But i'm confused somewhat. In 2 seasons i have managed promotion to the conf' nat thru the playoffs but wasnt easy.
Now Billericay starts off a pro club but after season was made semi pro(didnt make promotion).i havent been able to offer wages of more than £700pw (seems correct)I was losing like 40k a month so by the time i sold my best players i was nearly 500k in debt.Even now i have been promoted i cannot pay more wages and am still semi pro.Still no one wants to sign for me and still my scouts find rubbish like the rubbish they are.
To put it simply i am finding it difficult putting a team together.
But this is fine by me because i find it real. But am i missing something?Reading thru this thread you will find others who have breazed thru it,money falling out they pockets and promotion after promotion(not all cases).
Is it possible after time i will discover my own "great tactics" and end up pwning this game?
Hope not really.
It can be very hard with a semi pro side. I have been trying to get out of the conference for 4 years now and have never even reached the playoffs. My wage budget is fixed at about £4500 per week and I have never had a player worth more than £20K.
This is the fun bit of LLM, sometimes a gem happens and gives you some financial muscle, other times it doesn't. In my previous save, I had been to three clubs by this time, as I kept getting realistic job offers, this time not a single offer in 5 years.
Yes..i just googled it.
When i took them on they had recently been promoted to the conf south....everyone begins the challenge with a newly promoted team. But thanks for the info...
