I'm in my third season in Conference South and am still amazed at the number of times my keeper takes a massive first touch in vital games just about giving me a heart attack when he just clears it in time.

Btw, I love the term binary players. Sums up half my team.

I have to second you all. I just finished second season of a new game with Albion Rovers. The greatest thing about returning to the 'grass roots' to me is the idea that a single player can truly make a difference. That £2000 poubd signing can actually make the difference between glory and destruction! I always find that at the highest levels it becomes hard to distinguish between the players, and thus much harder to tell what to change or fix when it goes pear-shaped. At the LLM level it'a always pretty clear where the crap is and why

Managed to end 8th on the first season with Workington (no major signings, just a freebie 19 yo DM and 4 greys) and despite the board wanting us to battle bravely I go to the confidence screen and they tell me they're disappointed by the team's performance.

Disappointed in as 'We expected you to get us relegated'? Or as in 'We wanted you to clinch that last promotion spot'?

I very much doubt she'd be inclined to favour a guy who works for £110/week and who has trouble at making himself understood (according to my profile: French(fluent), Spanish (fluent) and no English at all)
