Has anyone survived as manager after a relegation in 08?
I remember reading in 07 that managers with long careers and many promotions were still sacked if they were relegated after taking a ECS/BSS or ECN/BSN team to the championship.
There were some desperate pleas that long-term success at a club would receive a more forgiving board in 08 so as to reflect real-life more accurately.
Anyone play long enough yet to test this part of the game?

I got Vaduz promoted to the top Swiss league, where I managed to set the record currently held in the records thread for most games lost in a row on my way to a quick relegation. The board recognised that I was hopelessly out of my depth though (only part time club in a fully pro league) and were still very pleased with the amount of fight that I put up.

I've survived the drop with Mantova, after being relegated in my first season in the Serie A. But then the target was "Fight bravely against relegation" which I did, going down by 2 points.
I got sacked when I didn't win promotion the next season though

Yup, am about to lead them back up to the promised land again. Unfortunately a single dodgy loss ruined my attempt at holding the most games won and lost in a row records, only managed 12

I'm managing Stamford in the Dafuge challenge, and and after 4 seasons got them promoted to the Blue Square Premier. Survived the first season in that division, and then my aims for the second seaon was to consolidate my league position.
I got relegate that season, and still got offered a new contract. Possibly because I had apparently met the long term goal of survival in the first season up.
I am now in the 2022/23 season and still in charge, having survived 1 relegation. Fear my new season will be a relegation battle though.
