In my manager options, i have everything set to manual apart from control of the reserve and youth teams.

For some reason, somebody keeps giving my very poor 17 year olds 3 year contracts! I've checked the options many times, but still it will pop up in my in box that a 17 year goalkeeper with a handling of 1 has been signed up long term. Even the under 17's are on long term deals.

Is this a know issue?

I have had this happen for a number of versions of the game, it just seems to be something that happens for a while if you don't check the option as soon as you take over a club. It has always stopped after a while in my games.

They'll offer deals to kids as young as 14 in your youth team when the option is enabled. After you've turned it off the only new news on contracts you didn't offer will be WHEN those kids turn 17 it tells of the deal they've signed.

I have complete control of the teams and the contracts, yet someone is releasing players without my knowledge.

Fortunately, they have stopped awarding them contracts. So I now receive the message "Dwayne Twoleft feet has turned 17 today and so is eligible for a professional contract"- or something like that.

So I then release him on a free transfer. 'There you are son. Happy Birthday'
