Default Minimum fee release clause and AI stupidity

Was negotiating to buy a couple of young players. I didn't see that they had minimum fee release clauses at first and was negotiating an offer worth over 1 million for one of them and something similar for the other. The AI teams kept coming back wanting more and more. All of a sudden I realise that they both have minimum fee release clauses at 550k so I bid that and get it accepted. What I don't understand is why the teams didn't recognized a good deal when they saw it. Sure a constructed deal worth 1 million in money and a 20% sell on clause would had been something to jump on when the player has a release clause of 550k.

What an amazingly constructive answer. I enjoy the game a lot at the moment. That doesn't mean that I wont say what I think if I see room for improvement.

You've only just had a yellow card expire for abuse & you've learnt your lesson to such a extend your right back at it.

Nobody ever reports posts to the mods, we just complain when mods can't find all of the abusive posts themselves.

For the original post, the AI in transfer negotiations has always been pretty bad; situations like the one you've mentioned have been happening for ages now. I really hope at some point in the future, transfer negotiations are given the work that they need.

I totally agree with this, as its the one area of the game that needs a good overhaul.
