In a Champions League group, three teams were on 10 points after the 6 games played each.
Team A had beaten Team B home and away
Team B had beaten Team C home and away
Team C had beatn Team A home and away
So, just like it was so widely explained with liverpool in their group this year, they would go through on goal difference if the teams had the same points as the situation was similar to the one I had described. Yet in FM Team A and B went through, both who had a GD of +1, and Team C had a GD of +2. Surely Team C should go through??
this is a long shot but what about GD from the head to head results? I've never been sure whether head to head just takes points into account or GD as well.

e) higher number of goals scored;
f) higher number of coefficient points accumulated by the club in question,
as well as its association, over the previous five seasons (see paragraph
