Hi guys, I am managing Swansea City, won League 1 first season, 2 mid table finishes in the Championship in season's 2 + 3. It is now season 4, yet when I ask the board to find me a Parent Club, they come back with the message that they havent been able to find anybody suitable.

I mean wtf, I am only 1 tier below the Premiership and they can't get me a Parent Club?????

I am wondering if this is normal, or is it some sort of bug?

(I am fully patched up, with the latest edition in case that's what you are wondering)

If anybody could shed some light on this matter I would appreciate it,

make sure you dont already have a parent club, someone complained about the same a few hours ago and he already had a parent club from another country. he canceled the connection from that parent club and asked again for a parent club and got chelsea. i think the game doesnt allow to have 2 parent clubs btw

I had this in one of my games. It took about four seasons of requesting before the board found me one, and then they found three for me. Just keep trying, is my advice. You'll get one eventually.

I am a die hard swansea fan okay , I have won the premeirship with the original team twice. YOU CAN NEVER GET A PARENT TEAM !!!!!!

It's no bug , just use your links with ADO Den Haag , they have a few good players Swansea have to much reputation to be supported by a premeirship team

It could just be that nobody wants to be your parent because they already have parent club links with other lower divison clubs.

Or it could just be that the English don't like the Welsh and vice versa?

Thanks for the replies guys, Jamo-spurs - I am gutted that I wont be able to get a Parent Club, it would help with loans etc, never mind. How the heck have you won the Premiership twice with Swansea..... I can hold my own in cup games against some Premiership teams, but don't think I would finish high if I do get promoted. What tactics, and any 'help' you have given to yourself to achieve this ?? Swansea aren't a bad team, but I can't generate much money to buy a lot of good players

I think it also has something to do with geography . What would be the nearest Premiership side to Swansea? If you choose a club from a vastly populated club area like london/the northwest you generally find it fairly easy to get a parent team, i'm not aying this is the reason, but it might be one of the factors, all the big clubs near you might not be able to link any feeder clubs at the moment, have a look how many feeder clubs the prem teams have, that also helps to see if it's worth going for a parent club at championship level.
