Well, was 15 games into my first game with Bradford in League 2 and was sat happily joint top of the league with just one defeat.
All of a sudden, my strikers (all four of them) cannot hit a barn door, and I have won just one game in the next 15 games (a total reversal!).
I have tried everything, squad rotation, different tactics, different formations, but no matter what I seem to do, nothing can drag me out of this unexplained slump :-(
Anyone had this also? and/or what can I do to get out of it!!
I think changing your formation isnt the best idea because your players obviously got used to your old one when you were playing well. I would just try and tweak your tactics and play the players who are in form(if there are any :p)! I'm playing as Darlington and i've kept the same formation all season and i've been quite consistent but also have a few bad runs - which happens to the best of teams! Just persist with the same formation you were winning with. Try maybe playing with a defensive mentality and counter attack so your team are always looking to be so far up the pitch getting caught short! Hope that advice was helpful
Sorry to be harsh, but this is typical stupidity. Changing tactics and formations multiple times in a short span of time will destroy your club. This is NOT how you address a poor run of form.
The single best thing you can do is to pay careful attention to the 2D match results. Watch what is happening when your players miss chances or when the opposition scores. You can always find solutions to your problems by watching the 2D match engine and adjusting accordingly.
Once you've identified the problem, there are numerous aways to address it. You could adjust your training to focus more on shooting and tactics, to help your players get in the right positions and finish their chances. You could try to rotate your players, and you could try to boost morale or use media interaction to help things along. The list goes on and on.
But you cannot go insane and start switching everything around. That unsettles the players and always leads to disaster. As was suggested previously, try using more subtle tweaks.
