Default 2nd season disappointment
Won the SPL first season with DUFC and got to both cup finals, 2nd season however despite what I think is a much improved squad not doing as well, did beat Werder 2-0 in the first Champs league group stages though.

Have always found this to be the case with Footy Manager, maybe the players I signed are just taking a while to settle in.

I'm experiencing the opposite in my FM08 game. I've gone 15 league matches without a loss (19 in all competitions) and I'm 13 points clear on the table. I lead the league in goals scored and fewest goals conceded and both of my strikers have more goals than any other in the league. I'm quite sure, though, that I've been very fortunate with my team's good form.

TBH I was astonished I managed to win the league first season, never managed to do this ever before!! Mainly down to the loan players I managed to get from Man Utd in particular.
