write a short message in black felt pen on your hand. It can be as short as 'CD'. Should trigger your short term memory grab that disc before you leave.
Or leave post-its round the house.

Creating a copy to serve as a backup. This is seen as a fundamental right of the software-buyer in some countries, e.g., Germany, Spain, Brazil and Philippines. It can be infringement, depending on the laws and the case law interpretations of those laws
backup, not an alternative to the original disc. copyright laws suck

Get a laptop and don't let the disc leave the disc drive.

My son was playing FM08 at my house but FM07 at his mum's, (until Santa arrived anyway).
