Hi i was wondering why soem teams have wrong names.Eg Schalke 04 are called Gelsenkirchen.
Why is this aftre installing new patch?
Is there a remedy or patch?

if you go to sports program files then go to sports interactive/football manager 2007/data/db/702(which is the new patch)/inc, then delete the folder 'ger'. you will have to start a new game for this to take effect, it just seems to be the german teams that dont have the real names, i noticed this with FC Bayern being Munchen.....

actually mate you dont need to start a new game!!!! and i acidently put 'sports' in from of program files in my last reply, thought i would let you know incase u got confused...............

I deleted mine from the 701 folder, since I use that patch but there's been no change yet. Not started a new game, so I'd assume it is that.
Is it just 702 that you don't have to start a new game with?

you might just have to reload your game for the name changes to take affect

possibly cuz i only found this out once i downloaded 702 cuz there has been loads of changes since 701!!

I have deleted 'ger' file and it has worked.Should i delete any others for real names.Eg 'Japan' file?
Also oliver kahn still wrong name how do i change this?
And competition names are wrong?is there a patch for real comp names?

fake files should be near the same place as 'ger' folder. think its inside the 'all' folder....
