I don't quite get this...when looking at player potential in the editor it appears to be out of 200 but what does -9 mean? an example of this is newcastle's steven taylor...

mine the higher the minus figure the more potential they have so steven taylor is -9 i cant remember what figures are for what but basically -10 is between overall ability of 185 - 200 as you would see for rooney which is 179 with a potential of 190 etc,

cause they are under a particular age they need to be potential once they pass that age they then delvelop in the game at around the potential figure you have given them (or what was set) so at there peak at age of 25 they might be at 197 but others with the same potential maybe less but within the range.

So -9 for taylor would say he would delvelop well and be in range of 165-185 (roughly)

Its in ranges of 30 all the way up to 200. -10 would have PA of 170-200, -9 would have PA of 150-180, -8 would have PA of 120-150 etc.
