OK, here's the problem. In edit mode, I'm trying to transfer a player from one club to another. So, I select 'contract' from the menu on the left, click on 'club' and a search menu comes up. I type in the name of the new club, press enter, and the name of the player's initial club is replaced by 'no selection.' Anyone know what to do - I'm sure there's a simpla answer which will probably make me look stupid

Don't worry - just found another way of doing it. For anyone else having the same problem, a far easier way of doing it is to search the player's current club, select 'players and staff' from the menu on the left, go to 'players' and select the player to be removed. Then click 'remove' at the bottom of the screen. Next, go to the list of players at the player's new club in the same way, click 'add' and search for the player to be transferred. When his name appears, click it and he will be added to the list of players.
