Default So I want to put Forest in the Premiership..
Is all I have to do swap them with a Premiership team? I've changed the previous season's positions so that Forest were 10th in the Premiership while Wigan (who I swapped) were 7th in League One. However, do I also have to change the history of previous years?
Anything else?

Nah just swapping them will be fine. Althought you may want to put the reputation up, depending on how big/medium/small u want forest to be. Eg teams with repuation of around 6000 are like blackburn, man city, etc. Higher rep - better clubs.

Put the money up a bit as well, otherwise you is going to have a hard task ahead
