Wrong IanZG2, surely this means how high up the pitch they cross from, not from how wide.
Cross from byline is useful only for your wingers and fullbacks. It means they try to cross the ball from the furthest forward they can, i.e they run right up to the line near the goal/dead ball line before crossing.
Cross from deap is useful when playing defensively or using with full backs. It means they will hit diagonal crosses from deep, midway between the halfway life and the byline. Useful if you have a target man who is dominant in the air.
As for team instructions width, this means how wide the team plays the ball. Set it to the furthest wide and the team will look to play an expansive game down the flanks, focusing the play through wingers or attacking fullbacks.
Narrow means they will look to play through the centre of the field, useful I find when you are trying to compact the midfield when playing against a team much better than yourselves.
